Top Custer Hotel Reviews

Rushmore Express Keystone

10/10 Excellent

"Really well thought out property, ideal for large families or groups traveling together. The facilities smelled clean and fresh, and felt relaxing and cozy. Pool and spa were clean and a good size and temperature. Shallow end was 3ft, and deep end was 5ft. Staff was helpful, and friendly, with thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Breakfast was a good combination of hot and cold items, available from 7-9 and replenished promptly. Our only “complaint” was that there were no eggs to go with our sausage, biscuits, and gravy. Nice, quiet placement at the foot of Mount Rushmore, made for an easy trip to see the monument for night time pictures. We were very pleased, and look forward to our next visit."

Grandma's House in the Woods, 3/4 mile to Custer

10/10 Excellent

"Once again, my husband and I had a great stay in Custer, SD for the second year. Grandma’s House is a fantastic place to stay. Vicki is a fantastic host. She is a great communicator and very concerned that her guests have a pleasant visit. The location is spectacular whether you are sightseeing at Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse or anything else or is you just want to hang out and relax. We travel with our two black labs and there is a beautiful back woods for us to walk with them early in the morning and in the evening for them to burn off some energy."

NEW! Glamping A-Frames, Stargazer 3 at Dakota Dream

10/10 Excellent

"I really liked this location. It was close to Custer State Park (I wanted to see bison), it was close to Sylvan Lake Lodge (trailhead for Black Elk Peak hike) and there wasn't a lot of light pollution at night, so stargazing was possible. The A-frame was cozy and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the heated mattress pad as it got down to 40 degrees overnight. The grounds were well kept and gorgeous... lots of pine trees, birds and deer. I would stay here again."
