The staff at the hotel are outstanding, super helpful, and Norman in particular is a real all-star. The main issue is something pretty outside their control: the beach outside the hotel is covered with a giant mass of stinking seaweed. This plagues just about all places in the area, but everyone traveling there should be aware that this is an issue. But the staff are awesome. They cook us a lovely breakfast every morning and they show us beaches on other parts of the island. Well done Norman!

The property and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the distance from the town of San Pedro. Ten miles is a lot when the mode of transportation is a golf cart and the road is bumpy and dusty. However, if you’re looking to get away from the town and just have a relaxing trip, there is no place better than Sapphire Beach Resort.
