"Hele lieve mensen, alleen is dit geen hostel maar een plek waar Chinezen op een kluitje wonen op zoek naar een baan. Niemand spreekt Engels. Het is zeker een manier om te ontdekken hoe het merendeel van de Chinezen in Shanghai leven. Maar ik ben blij dat ik een andere plek heb gevonden, wat zeker niet makkelijk was zonder internet of toegang tot Googlemaps."

"It was an okay hostel. Relatively clean with a good location. Bathrooms were also clean. Just have to be careful about finding it. I went based on the location in the map on the app (couldnt find it in any other app), and spent over an hour looking for it. Even the local shops didn't know where it was located. Had me walking around in circles. Suggestion: as to be added on wechat as soon as you reserve to avoid any misunderstandings"

"In the 'real' Shanghai beneath the high-rise buildings, seeing people as they go about their day, back from main roads. AC was a it strong, especially in the bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially Tao and May. Some maps/brochures/helpful tourist information would be good. I would recommend this place to anyone."

"Guests are very noisy. They start chit-chatting at midnight & 6am, kid was yelling & playing instrument at 8am, so we totally could not sleep whole night. "We were upgraded to a room with a view over the river which made our stay very nice. Big clean room with separate bathroom. We had an issue with the AC but it was solved same day. Breakfast is somewhat mediocre compared to other luxury hotels and other MO hotels, with limited choice for gluten free. Well located in city for easy communications with taxi, metro and boat. "
