Breakfast was delicious with great local options, and the free shuttle to the park made everything so easy. « our host here has to be the best we’ve encountered! she was extremely helpful with sightseeing directions , accommodating with the room and food, instantly responsive to requests. we somehow had quite a bunch of requests too. I felt really bad but she was so great. This trip would have been a lot harder to navigate if it wasn’t for her help. She even went beyond what is normally expected, helping us with the next leg of our trip in China. highly, highly recommend the place, very clean, beautiful...

« Le personnel est très serviable, sympathique et aux petits soins. Le cadre au milieu de la montagne est agréable. Néanmoins, la position est vraiment isolée, ce qui interdit toute sortie une fois que l’on est rentré à l’hôtel. Le restaurant a un rapport qualité prix trop élevé. La chambre spacieuse et bien décorée avait malheureusement un degré d’humidité incroyable. Tous les effets et vêtements ont été imprégnés par cette humidité. »

"Version française : L’hôtel Pullman Zhangjiajie est très bien situé pour visiter les montagnes d’Avatar. Il se trouve dans la zone où les guides et les agences viennent récupérer les voyageurs, ce qui est vraiment pratique. En revanche, l’hôtel en lui-même est assez basique et ne correspond pas vraiment au standing annoncé. La chambre était simple, et je recommande de bien demander une chambre non-fumeur, car j’ai senti de la fumée dans les couloirs. Pour moi, c’est surtout un point de passage pratique pour séjourner une nuit dans la zone, mais pas un lieu où l’on reste par plaisir. La ville se développe encore autour de ses activités touristiques, et on sent que les infrastructures des grandes chaînes ne sont pas encore pleinement au niveau. Version anglaise : The Pullman Zhangjiajie Hotel is very well located for visiting the Avatar Mountains. It’s in the area where guides and travel agencies pick up their guests, which makes logistics very convenient. However, the hotel itself feels quite basic and doesn’t really match the star rating it claims. The room was simple, and I would strongly recommend requesting a non-smoking room, as there was cigarette smell in the corridors. For me, it’s mainly a convenient stopover to stay close to the attractions, rather than a hotel you choose for comfort or atmosphere. The city is still developing around tourism, and you can feel that the infrastructure of major hotel chains isn’t fully up to standard yet."

" Nous avons passé deux nuits dans cet établissement et notre avis est mitigé. Premier point : à notre arrivée, la chambre initialement réservée n’était pas disponible, donc on nous a séparés en deux chambres. Ensuite, sur le site l’hôtel est situé en ville alors qu’il est en réalité en dehors (25 minutes de voiture) ce qui peut surprendre si on ne le sait pas. L’établissement propose heureusement une navette pour venir vous chercher, mais il faut en être conscient à l’avance pour éviter de perdre du temps, comme cela nous est arrivé. Enfin, dernier point négatif : à notre arrivée, il n’y avait ni eau ni chauffage pendant plusieurs heures, ce qui a été assez inconfortable. Une fois ces soucis réglés, le logement était neuf, spacieux et le petit-déjeuner très correct."

"I’m extremely satisfied with my stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The place is super quiet and located very close to the park entrance (only about 5 minutes away). If you’re looking for a peaceful spot away from the noise, this is the perfect place. The meals were delicious, the pool was comfortably heated, and the views were absolutely incredible. A special thank you to Rain, who was extremely helpful and guided us through every step of our stay — from picking us up at the airport, taking us to the park each day, and driving us to the train station — always perfectly on time.
