« Host interaction and amenities could be improved. Large kitchen with extra seating was great. However, only 4 place settings available so we had to purchase our own. Most cookware was greasy/dirty - we had to rewash them. Also, no toilet paper, window blinds were mostly inoperable, lighting was grossly insufficient, and LED lights do not make for "Cozy". Ever. »

« Cabin was clean with a great view of a small lake. Outdoor lighting for the hot tub and fire pit was nice. As described, the cabin is tucked away down a long country lane. »

« The house was even better in person and our host was so responsive and helpful to our questions. The perfect cabin getaway for a cozy girls weekend! »

« 23-23 September 2025 - It was a wonderful 6 days spent chilling, bird watching, and grilling. This is my second visit to the Goochland Getaway, and it will not be my last. The solitude was remarkable, as was the house. Thank you for a wonderful visit. I hope to visit again soon. »
