The environment is very clean and the facilities are quite basic. The front desk service was so so. No one was there to help us with luggages. Not very welcoming. They seemed to be new and on guard all the time. They had to read out the rules before you enter. It feels a little turn off as a guest. It could have been communicated in a softer way instead of being a safety guard. However, they gave me a free upgrade to executive floor and free two drink tickets. And the house keeping service and delivery service was top notch- very efficient. The location is convenient- close to the centre and right next to subway exit.

The location is great. A metro station entrance is just 10 meters from the entrance. Its breakfast is also great. However, the price is bit expensive compared other 4 star or 5 stat hotels operated by a Chinese company.

Fantastic hotel . huge room very clean . awesome buffet breakfast . just bring your own entertainment for movies on a laptop as there was only one English speaking TV channel BBC world news . Right next to the metro station and a short walk from the big shopping areas

Just An Acceptable Hotel Stay
Overall hotel is acceptable except that the wifi sucks and air-con cannot be adjusted and is giving out hot air instead of cold air. Located just beside Exit C 东门大桥 station. Just a 7-Eleven beside the hotel and about 10 mins walk to Chunxi Road and Sino-Ocean Tai Koo Li.

Perfect address for charming Chengdu
Great hotel located just on the exit from the metro with very easy connections to the East railway station and the center of this charming city. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and large, and breakfast very good. Avoid the hotel's international restaurant which is mediocre for the many excellent hotpots and other Sichuan food restaurants that abound in a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Holiday Inn with a lobby that looks like a 5-star hotel, clean and friendly staff with good timely service. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to discover how close it was to the metro station. The hotel is literally at the top of the escalator of Exit C at the Dongmen Bridge station. Conveniently located within 15-20 minute walk to tourist hotspot Chunxi Road and Tai Koo Li, lots of great food and bubble tea. If you plan to visit Mt. Qingcheng, you can get to the high speed train station at Xipu Rd terminal station of the same line as the hotel.

Great location
Love this hotel - very comfortable and well located .Staff helpful but limited English speaking at some times.Great buffet breakfast selection .Handy metro stop a short step away , ATM with english instructions , and eateries at back of hotel carpark .A short stroll to The Atrium and Tai Koo Li malls . Great place to stay .

Nice, clean, 4-star hotel near subway/metro
A nice and clean hotel in a very safe area. The subway/metro (Dongmen Bridge line) is right in front of the hotel. Staffs are nice and helpful. After I checked out my hotel room (3 days ago) they had a staff to wait by the curb in front of the hotel to catch a taxi for me. The tax driver used meter and I ended up paying less than US$10 for the trip from hotel to airport. The buffet breakfast is delicious (all gourmet). The metro system in Chengdu is very contemporary and convenient just like that in Hong Kong. The hotel rooms do not face the front busy street; that's why it's very quiet all day. I love the experience and will definitely stay in this hotel again if I have a chance to return to Chengdu.

Excellent location w d subway right at d doorstep. Serves gd breakfast. Dey serve this delicious red date drink at d lobby *thumbs up*. Concierge was v helpful, got me d recipe nspecially called me in d room. However the following needs to improve: 1) water will flow out fr shower to bathroom. We stayed in 3 different rooms n it happened in all. 2) Front desk needs to be more attentive. Our 1st two nites were booked separately by ihg agent due to redemption of pts. 2nd nite our card didnt work n we had to go bk to front desk. 2nd leg, we returned fr emei n d room was lil bit older n d bathroom problem was bad. Front desk told us dey will send someone to fix it. When we rtn at nite, front desk staff told us she duno if its fixed n ask us to chk ourselves. She was also v condescendg when we enquired whether there is a member rate for breakfast n said member or not, d price is d same. When we called guest svc over d fone, dey were able to chk tat someone came to look at d problem. Last day, we still had laundry w dem when we checked out. When we rtn to pick up our luggage at nite, front desk told us d laundry dept was closed. When i told her we were flying home tat night, she said dey can send d clothes to us assuming we were locals. In d end concierge said clothes r w dem. 3) Seafd buffet was lousy. After promoting it to us we realised not much fd was left in d buffet n no more refills. D fd was lousy.

I generally enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room is clean, hotel staff are nice. But one thing I don't appreciate is the centralized air-cond, room temperature was hot during day time.

One of the Best Stays in Chengdu
As far as hotel options in this region of China go, Holiday Inn Oriental Plaza would be considered luxury. Beds are amazing with choices of firm and soft pillows. Bathroom has all the free toiletries and hair dryer neatly tucked away in drawers and the shower was quite nice, especially compared to what's offered in most local hotels. I happened to be there over my birthday and returned to my room that evening to find a birthday cake from the hotel.

Great price in a great location
Right next to the subway (East Gate Bridge), walking distance to the main shopping districts (Chunxi Road) and bars (Lan Kwai Fong). Modern and high quality, lightyears better than anything in the US.
