"Beautiful landscaping. Cozy clean rooms; although ours had a torn shower curtain that needs replacing and a broken towel hook that also needs replacing. Only a tiny " crescent moon looking" corner bar to hang clothes directly atop the 'fridge and micro--not adequate as we squeezed our dressy clothes there that we needed for the wedding we were attending. Simple breakfast of cereal, bagels, oj, coffee/tea, but enough for us. Unique decorative items in tiny lobby; very interesting things, some antiques."

"the room was clean and staff was nice and friendly. the place is dated and needs major updates. the resturant in 3rd floor was not the quality you want for the prices. the gym was clean but needs some stretching area and items, like roller, bands, cube. would reccomend they remove all the fake plants everywhere."

"Great location. Within walking distance of beach and town. Carpenteria had numerous restaurants and shopping to choose from. House was stocked with lots of amenities, more than we needed. Area was experiencing record heat temps when we were there and there is no AC. Lots of fans and early mornings and evenings were pleasant. Nice place to stay, large back yard for fur babies (even tho we didn’t have ours either us)."

"Bed was comfy nice room location great only too things for follow up creamers were needing to be replaced and mildew smell from AC unit present. Local breakfast spot great."

Beach Shanty - One Block From Carpinteria State Beach

"Ideal location! Walking in Carp is so lovely and this was steps from the beach and all the shops. The property was fine- very dated and no extras. The king bed was comfortable and the kids slept fine in the pullout and the bed under the stairs. Upstairs had slanted roof, had to bend over when getting dressed no view or windows, just a skylight and the downstairs window looked straight into a hedge on a very slim walkway. Great place if all you need to do is sleep or it’s just two people. The price is for the location and it’s clean with responsive hosts who were very welcoming and accommodating."
