"When I called for a crib morning of check in, they said no problem. However when I checked in they said it’s based on availability, which makes sense but that is NOT what I was told. So no crib the first night. If I had known I would have brought my own. Oh by the way the “crib” is a pack n play. The floor smelled like weed on my floor, seems they couldn’t figure out who it was. The room layout of the room is was odd and the pictures are misleading. One overnight staff person was rude and dismissive when I inquired about the STRONG natural gas odor in the lobby. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, will not stay at any Best Western again."

"I booked a premium king bedroom. I was given the worst room in the worst building. I did not have a car, so I booked Uber for my commute. Every time I needed to get into my Uber or receive a package, I had to walk 2 minutes. Not even a single staff member helped me carry my luggage, even though I saw others receiving such treatment. After requesting and changing my room 2 times, I finally got a good one. During this entire time, the hotel did not provide any support to carry my belongings from one room to another. Only after asking did they provide support. There were unnecessary charges for parking vehicles and laundry that were not mentioned anywhere on the website. At the end of my stay, when I went to do the laundry, the machines were not even working. I had to wait 30 minutes and move from one building to another just to finish my laundry. These things are highly unprofessional. Later, I expected some apologies from the hotel manager. I did not even get that. I came to your hotel for a business purpose, but you guys gave me unnecessary headaches throughout my stay. Initially, there was no water in the room. When I called room service to order, there was no response. No one even followed up with me. How will you compensate for these things?"

"I would stay here again. The staff was courteous, the hotel was conveniently located and I felt safe as a solo traveler. Having said that : I was not expecting such a tiny pool and there was no space to walk between the patio furniture and the edge of the pool which was not safe. The breakfast was good but limited in variety. There wasn’t even decaf coffee or peanut butter. The room was very small which was ok for just me."

"Tones of issues. Room was in very poor condition. Cracks and issues with the shower and sink, big broken holes and cracks in the AC unit. Bed quality was like sleeping on the ground with a thin sheet. Room felt like they tried to make a prison cell look nice but failed. Areas outside of room had trash all over and was super run down. They even tried to put us in a room that we never booked and they still ended up not putting us in a room we booked. Staff was just nasty to us and didn’t care about any of the concerns we had. What they advertised was far from what you really got or saw. Never ever would recommend anyone here and highly suggest black listing them. Price also did not match how bad it was. We ended up moving hotels after only being in the room for an hour. "

"Love OB hotel, located steps away from the beach. The hotel is in walking distance from shops, restaurants and local bars. The staff is so helpful. The rooms are clean, and bright. The observation decks are perfect to people watch, watch the ocean, have a drink or eat pizza at 1am. Always my go to when I do a weekend in San Diego."
