"We were off season by a week, so the Village of Freeport was mostly closed, however the Inn was open. The staff was accommodating, the main lobby was warm and friendly and the Tavern served excellent food. It was also a block before the Village started and 2 or 3 blocks from LL Bean."

"The Portland Harbor Hotel has a wonderful, clean, efficient feel. It is right in the center of Fore Street, the center of the "hip, cool, historial" area of Portland. The staff is especially helpful and good-mannered. It has a beautiful garden-courtyard which is a special surprise within a city. "

"we booked three nights but only stayed one….hotel is under construction so we had no hot water, breakfast was grab and go…no tea or coffee….booked this place for the pool….pool is closed down…. was happy to get a refund but now i have been charged an extra night on my visa from them….no one at hotel knows how or why!!! Have contacted my bank and they have put it through to the fraud department "
