"My weeklong stay at the Viceroy was terrific, mainly thanks to the friendly attentive staff. At the front desk, Ben and a woman whose name may have been Edith (I should have written it down!) were particularly determined to make sure I had a simple relaxing time. Several of the valets were also unusually warm and helpful as well. For me, the only weak spot in the service was a fellow named Chris, who, when I said I couldn't get through to room service, seemed impatient, then sent room service an email and apparently never followed up. Eventually I went down to the lobby and Ben sorted it all out. The food was great, as was the one drink I had in the bar. Even though the hotel is right on Ocean Ave, my room was quiet -- and very comfortable! A great hotel within easy walking distance of the beach and the 3rd St. Promenade."

"Very cute hotel in a fantastic location. There were lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance and it was also an easy walk to the Santa Monica Pier. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the rooms were clean and cozy. I do think I should mention that our room (2 double beds) was a bit smaller than a double room you'd get at a standard hotel, However, it didn't bother us at all...just wanted to point it out in case you like something roomier. Loved this hotel and would definitely stay there again."

"Every single staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful. You can tell they are a tight team. Room was comfortable and we especially appreciated having a small couch. Gym was great. The hotel is very close to the pier and beach access and walkable to lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Plus Target and Trader Joe’s right down the street. Very enjoyable stay."
