"It was clean and quiet, had a good shower, and a comfortable bed. That's all I needed, and all that I used. There were a few missing tiles on the shower wall and some of the tub paint had peeled off, so it looked pretty tacky. So it was not the best looking, it worked just fine."

"Spacious cabin is easy to get to, yet still quiet and secluded. View of Lake Cuyamaca and Cuyamaca Peak, from the front room and deck, is serene. Kitchen has every type of equipment needed to prepare meals. Satellite TV and internet. Bring ground coffee for the drip machine, plus any other food you'll need. Julian is a short drive, for anything you forget. We really enjoyed our mini-getaway, and hope to return!"

"Beautiful location. It is located very high up on narrow curvy street. It has a great view. The house is large and well furnished. We ended up spending more time inside due to effects of Tropical Storm Rachel. Lots of wind, rain and fog. Very unusual weather."

"My family (including 1 child and 1 dog) really enjoyed our stay here. Really nice, quiet, relaxing house with a large backyard. From the Norwegian style details, to overall cabin feel, board games, fireplace, you can tell that a lot of thought was placed into the design and decor. Also, location was nice as it was an easy drive to Mount Laguna, and we were able to visit Rancho Cuyamaca and Julian."

"We greatly enjoyed our stay! The views from the cabin were stunning and the cabin itself was so cozy and comfortable for our night there. Waking up to the sunrise in the morning was incredible and the views of the sunset, stars, and Milky Way at night were fantastic. It was quiet and peaceful and the cabin itself was beautiful and comfortable, with everything we needed.The drive up to the cabin is as described on the listing and we had no issues following the host instructions. I'd echo what some other reviews say and plan to arrive before dark for ease of navigating the road to the property. It is a bit of a steep/windy drive up. Dana was timely in sending any information for check-in/check-out and responsive to any messages/needs!I'm just sad we only stayed one night! Looking forward to returning for a longer stay."

"This is an awesome and unique space in the desert just below Julian, CA. Reni is both the host and the artist responsible for much of the beauty inside the space. Amazing dark skies are visible here and it’s wonderfully quiet most of the day. There isn’t AC but there is a pump based cooling system. The property stays relatively cool even in the heat but be prepared to sleep in a warmer room than you may be used to."
