"I was only staying for one night.
Friendly greeting on arrival.
All the public areas were fairly modern and well kept.
There was good service and food in the bar I used and the prices were reasonable.
The single room I had was very clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
There is hotel parking at a cost but I used the public carpark at the top of the road.
( I can imagine parking might be a bit more difficult in the really busy season.)
The area around the hotel is a little...
"Still a great hotel but things have definitely slipped since my last few visits. Slow check in, bathroom extractor fan not working, partially blocked bath and faulty lights. All small problems but it does point to slipping standards. I’ll give it one more go, based on previous experiences but might have to find another favourite hotel for my trips to Blackpool if things remain the same. "
"Nice quiet hotel for the weekend. Parking is slightly pricey and the room deposit to cover is large just to be aware of ahead of your stay.
Friendly staff."
"We were welcomed with a smile, checked in shown our room. The room was compact but had everything we needed our own bathroom unlike many Blackpool guest houses, plenty of tea and coffee.
Next time we come to Blackpool we will be trying to book this again
Many thanks guys"
"Nice hotel. Pool and spa were used, little busy but that shows the popularity of it.
Thin walls meant we could hear next door speaking every word. Good walk away from the centre, which cost £18 on the tram return! Walkable, but 20-25mins at a good pace. "

The area around the hotel is a little run down in places but don't let that put you off.
You can probably walk to the promenade in about 6 minutes with everything it has to offer.
I would be very happy to stay at the Ruskin again."
