![Ivy covered walls of Aberthaw Lime Works. A Grade II listed building, the Aberthaw Lime Works was opened on 22 December 1888, by the Aberthaw Pebble Limestone Company. It was built to process the limestone pebbles rather than transport them inland or elsewhere by boat. The works ceased production in 1926. The main building contains two kilns that were capable of producing up to 40 tons of burnt lime a day.
