The room was elegant and very well equipped with all the essentials. Extra toothbrush, coffee/hot water machine, and useful items you need but don’t usually pack such as a shoe horn, cork screw, bottle opener, etc. king size bed was very spacious and comfortable, as were the pillows. The area was very nice and the proximity to restaurants and shopping was ideal. Staff was very courteous at all times of the day and night.

Need improvement on customer care
Arrived early at the hotel so decided to let my check in prepared for when the room as available. Handled my EU ID and my wife the passport. So then the staff kindly asked my passport too. No issues there and the staff was really kind. Upon our return in the afternoon to pick the key, another staff member named T**** or similar (male with the starting with T) took over our booking and actually started to tell me that my booking had a lot of entries because I WANTED to give different documents. I explained that I handled my ID and the staff requested my passport, and whatever they did with my information was not actually my problem... so he continued, in a very rude way, to tell us that we messed my registration in the hotel and because of that now my file has many entries... and amazingly did not matter to tell him that I had no idea what he was talking about as I don't work behind the desk and was actually NH hotel who did my registration. So a not very good experience on this end... however, all other employees were really nice and kind.

Nice hotel
Good hotel in the center of Barcelona. Close to everything. We had a regular room. Big king size bed. Standard size room: not big, not small. Very clean. And very quiet - I heard nothing from adjacent rooms or from outside - which is unusual to find in Spain. The exterior windows were weird - brutalist architectural style - small and didn’t really open. The gym for the entire (large) hotel was tiny. Excellent customer service.
