This property is amazing and I’d definitely stay at this place again. The hotel, the staff and the services are amazing. Plus the location could not be better. This hotel saved our stay in Barcelona from a terrible property we were originally staying at (Eric Vokel La Gran Via)

This hotel was in an excellent location, directly across from the Barcelona Cathedral. You can walk in many directions to lots of shops and restaurants. We walked down to the harbor and the beach to enjoy a dip in the Mediterranean Sea. You can hear church bells and when we opened the windows, we could hear the cheers during the Spain/England finals of the Eurocup. Our room itself was quite nice and large. There are double closets with lots of hangars. They had comfy robes and slippers waiting for us. A large bathtub and shower with a rainfall showered and handheld nozzle were very nice (we didn't use the bathtub). The bathroom is open to the bedroom, so there isn't much privacy if that is important to you. The door to the toilet swung both ways, but when it was pulled out it was very loud. The bed was very comfortable, however when sitting on the edge (to get up) it "groaned" a bit. This isn't a big problem for me, but for a light sleeper it might be if their partner gets out of bed while they are sleeping. The personnel at the hotel were very polite, spoke excellent English, and were very helpful. They used the hotel shuttle to take us to the airport which saved us a cab fare. One thing we didn't discover until the second day is that there is a rooftop terrace that serves drinks and food. It was lovely up there (but quite windy). It seems if you let them know you are a hotel guest, they will prioritize you for a seat at the edge with the best view.

We have visited Barcelona several times previously, and we liked the central location of the hotel. The roof top bar was a huge disappointment because it was full of Instagram inspired tourists who did not contribute to our dining experience. In the same vein, the blank stares from the hotel staff in the lobby suggest that they don’t know who were the hotel guests and who were not. In fact, one night returning from a concert at the Palau we were stopped at the entrance and asked if we were going to the roof top bar. It was embarrassing for everyone. We have stayed at many exceptional hotels of amazing destinations. If our experience and review are of any value to the hotel, the management should seriously discuss and decide between mass tourism and exclusivity.

This is a great hotel! Spacious, beautiful modern decor room, rooftop bar with great view of the cathedral, great service. I was pleasantly pleased when we arrived. Better than expected and they let us check in at 9am! (They said it's rare to have a room ready by then but we lucked out! Top service for doing so!). Will try to return to this hotel again. Made it a great stay.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Hotel Colon. The location was absolutely perfect-allowing us to explore the Gothic Quarter and other areas of Barcelona on foot. Our room was large with a comfortable bed and nice amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful recommending a great waterfront restaurant where we celebrated my son’s 21st birthday. The only negative was that the bathroom was open to the bedroom which took us by surprise. Even though the toilet and shower were in separate cubicles, it was a little inconvenient and there wasn’t much privacy.
