Ban Mae Ka Talat Luang Vacation Packages

Room, bed and bathroom facilities were good enough. No staff at the desk/in the lobby quite often; paid for breakfast both days but second one wasn't marked in and the security guy had to get it sorted out for me (thank you!). The cooks were nice about it and quick once it was sorted. There was no in-room coffee so I had to get my own packets but everything else needed was there.

The front desk staff wasn’t very welcoming, but the two girls who did graveyard shifts to the morning were very nice and helpful. The rooms itself were ok, definitely has been lived in and could use some freshening up, like the grout in the showers. If you don’t get it cleaned everyday, it starts to smell musty which turned us off. Laundry is drop off service only, you cannot do it yourself. The prices are rather steep so I would suggest going to a laundromat or a close by laundry service that is cheaper. Breakfast is an add on as well. 400baht/person, which is rather expensive. So we went out every morning for breakfast. The gym and pool are small, the gym only had half of the machines working so I’m not sure that we’d call that a functional gym. If I came back to Chiang Mai again, I would likely choose a different hotel unfortunately. This did not live up to the standards that Expedia set by its reviews. Breakfast was rather expensive (400baht/person) so we opted to have breakfast elsewhere everyday. The hotel is very walkable to shops around, but Chiang Mai is also very spread out so you probably have to get a grab to most places. The highlights of the hotel for us were the two front desk girls that helped me in a pinch, and the independently contracted driver by the hotel that picked us up from the airport.

Highly recommend. Great staff, great location, and the rooms are very comfortable.
