Feel a million miles away from normal day-to-day life as you enjoy the fresh scent of Michigan's UpNorth air, and the scene of the bay where Lake Huron and wildlife come together. Just after sunset experience the glow of the home as you sit around the campfire listening to the crackling of the burning wood in the firepit and gaze up to watch the stars. As you come inside to enjoy the comfortable accommodations, you'll be sure to relax in the comfort of the living area and the cozy bedrooms that soothe your senses with soothing surroundings. Cooking with a lakeview is more tempting as this home has a deck with a barbeque grill and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area where you and your guests can enjoy a meal and conversation together. Enjoy this location as it is great for experiencing wildlife viewing and listening to the sounds of nature. Slow down, relax and experience the memories to be made.
The Scenic Wonders of Au Gres will take you on a journey off the beaten path to experience the tranquility Northeast Michigan has to offer.

Each of our cabins are independently owned by people who use their home from six weeks to six months out of the year and want to share with you the remaining time their home is open. While staying in our cabins, enjoy a mesmerizing sunrise/sunset on the shores of Saginaw Bay & Lake Huron, marvel at the fish swimming under your kayak in the summer or at your feet under the ice in the winter. Have a bonfire, grill out, or cozy up next to the fireplace while witnessing nature's authentic landscape all around you, from the deer getting a drink at the lakeshore, to the squirrels chasing each other in the trees, to the turkeys or peacock stopping by to say hello! There's also a chance of watching the otters play in the bay or seeing the turtles laying their eggs in the sand. You may even catch a glimpse at a mink, badger, or bobcat!

With the trees displaying their beautiful color in the fall, to the budding blossoms filling the air with their sweet aroma in the spring, Lake Life Cabins has a breathtaking panoramic view year-round.

Following the US-23 heritage route as a guide to the area, you will come across scenic drives, quaint towns, museums, lighthouses, bird-watching areas, wildlife sanctuaries, biking trails, and so much more.

Your hosts would love to share their awe-inspiring views of the Scenic Wonders of Au Gres, and show you why you will fall in love, as they did, and want to journey back in the future to dive deeper into all that Lake Life Cabins and Northeast Michigan has to appreciate. Your hosts excitedly await your arrival to what is not only a vacation, but a unique blissful experience that will capture your heart and make you want to come back time and time again...

Pretty great
Would i stay here again? Absolutely. The view was money, just stellar, easily the star of the show. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for basic cooking, I am always pleased when coffee filters are there just because they're so easy to forget. Our stay was in mid April and bugs were minimal the street and the neighborhood were peaceful and quiet. Had to give only three stars for cleanliness, There were some spots that could use attention also there was no hand soap in the bathroom. We bought one at a local store and left it. Like I said, I would stay again. I would even bring my mom.

Great View of marsh overlooking Saginaw Bay
Very nice open floor plan on the home . The queen bed mattress in the room to the right of the front door could probably used to be replaced. Some more pillows our bigger pillows would be a plus . The home being right on the marsh to Saginaw Bay was very nice and relaxing. The house being right on the marsh is sandwiched in between two other properties so if privacy is an issue or if your party tends to be loud i don’t suggest this location. They do offer multiple locations. This would be a great place to stay in the fall as you probably could walk out and possibly duck hunt out front .

The cabin is nice, however.
The cabin is nice with all the modern conveniences. Our only issue is the water, the lake bottom is all weeds and we both got stuck sinking into the sand.

Nice view, but not very cozy
The place wasnt bad, but there were a ton of bugs. Anytime you open a door for 2 seconds, at least 5 or so bugs fly in. There were at least 5 spiders in every room. I would suggest spraying for bugs around the outside perimiter of the house before people check in. Also, to possibly have a large light away from the door to draw bugs somewhere else instead of where they see the lights inside and come through the door so often. The beds werent comfortable and there weren't enough pillows. Also, a couch would have made it more cozy to snuggle up together on. We did love the view outside at the lake and the huge kitchen would be great for anyone cooking. We only stayed for 1 night, but won't be back to this property. Thanks for making check in and out easy though, it was appreciated.

The view was spectacular. Nice private beach. Very clean. A 20 minute walk got me to the open bay. A substantial amount of wood for fire pit. All in all, a wonderful place
