"Honestly the only complaints I have are the insane amount of cicadas that literally chased me coming out the main entrance, and the fact that the smoke detector kept beeping in our room so we had to take the battery out. We tried telling someone at the front desk a couple times but no one was available, it’s an easy fix. Other than that, there ARE quite a few loud vehicles that pass by that make it hard to sleep, but it’s really nice other than that. The room was cleaner than we’ve ever seen, the bathroom was absolutely beautiful, though there was some super tiny hairs just like.. stuck to the shower floor and seemed to be unable to be removed. Great stay on a budget! "

"My husband and I go to Blue Ridge often and we were pleasantly surprised by our cabin. We could have used a broom and kitchen wash cloth along with a large pot to accommodate corn or noodles. The porch was soothing as we could hear the water running through the creek. My husband made great use of his waders and we got to take a few trout home."

"Amazing water pressure in the shower. Staff was amazing! Cleaning staff gets points for not making the bed when we left our laptop on it. I appreciate the precaution. They gave us fresh towels daily and took out the trash. They’re awesome!! "

"The photos of this cabin don’t begin to show the beauty and peacefulness of this cabin. While the Blue Ridge area has so much to see and do, be prepared to want to never leave the property. The large covered deck has rocking chairs and a swing. Sitting there rocking while looking over the stream and into the woods felt like being a part of a fairytale or like a scene from The Secret Garden. Inside the cabin is just as wonderful. The living room area has a full wall of floor to ceiling windows and the furniture is comfortable and cozy. The bedroom is adorable with antiques that are a perfect style for a mountain cabin. The bed is very comfortable. The cabin was spotless. You couldn’t tell that someone was there right before us. The bathroom isn’t huge but not so small that you feel cramped The kitchen has everything you will need. I would like to address some of the issues in the very few less than 5 star reviews. Two issues they mentioned were the “difficult driveway” and a “very hard to open lockbox”. I will admit that the driveway would be quite the challenge for some who didn’t bother to read the instructions. We followed Julie’s very detailed and thorough instructions about both the driveway and the lockbox and had no problems what so ever. Julie’s directions to the cabin were also detailed and thorough. Julie was quick to respond & very gracious about an issue that was 100% our fault. We will return many times to this wonderful , peaceful cabin."
