"Very well maintained property, breakfast was delish, loved the location, and water park was fun. My only complaint....NO HOT TUB! NOT A SINGLE ONE. Broke my heart! Kids had a blast but Mom and Dad had no relaxing soak to wash away our long drive. Water park water was not warm either. Kiddo didn't mind but us grown-ups were shivering. But, if that's my number one problem then I'd say we had a really nice time. Staff was always so helpful!"

Edgewater Hotel - Gatlinburg

"Room was mostly clean--we did notice that the carpet didn't appear to be vacuumed well in the room. Carpeting in the hallways was definitely worn and it smelled musty on the 8th floor. Bathroom appeared to be clean for us. We didn't ask for housekeeping during our short stay. Breakfast was just ok. Nothing that looked decent to us, so we elected not to eat there and instead just made coffee in our room. The fireplace in the room did not work. We didn't bother asking the front desk clerk because we decided to go out instead. Location is pretty good. Parking was adequate however we were not aware of the parking fee when booking so that was a surprise when we checked into the hotel. We did receive emails but they went to spam so we didn't see them prior to check in. That should be more clearly noted. We may have selected another location considering that as there are plenty of locations to stay. Hot tub was really hot. Overall the room was fine, but with the flaws noted above. Not sure we would stay here again as we might try somewhere that is a bit newer/updated for our next trip to Gatlinburg."

"We love the Glenstone, especially the indoor pool area. The coffee shop staff Tuesday morning were not nice. Stating she was only making "regular" coffee that morning. My daughter had been looking forward to her orange cortada since last trip in October. The Wednesday staff was delightful and made her 2. Love the option if checking out online so we can leave keys in room and just go out the back door where we were parked."

"Everything in this hotel is 4 to 5 star. Rooms are spacious and clean, stuff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but always fresh. There was a huge line to waffle machine (but it was a busy season so I think its normal) and one day, due to a high volume of guest, they were running out of silverware, fruits and eggs. Pool was amazing, my kids loved it, both indoor and outdoor. One night to stopped by the bar, and the bartender was very nice and helpful (I couldnt decide what I would like, so she recommended me a very delicious mix of beer and cider). Hotel is located outside from main road, but its a short walk there. If we are ever back to Gatlinburg, we will definitely stay at this place again. "

"I didn’t bring up the following shortfalls to the hotel staff at checkout because, a lot of times these type of things tend not to be addressed due to multiple reasons. Extremely loud and non efficient hvac unit. Room furniture very dusty and almost coming off its hinges (door that concealed the refrigerator). Balcony flooring could use some touch up paint. Housekeeping was asked to return in 15-20 minutes (at around 9:30) and never did all day. Called the front desk with no response to our request for cleaning or follow up. Next day still no housekeeping visit. Had to physically go down to the front desk and ask for it. $18 parking fee, which is a little much considering the size of the parking lot which is enormous. Should just have guest hang the parking permit on car mirror and that would let security know you’re a guest. Hotel is extremely quiet and far enough away from the main strip that it makes your stay easier. Staff is very friendly and helpful so the shortfalls were not that horrible."
