"It was central , very clean, nice staff"
I enjoyed the central location because I did not have a vehicle so my son and I had to walk, bus and train to our locations. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. I was nice coming back to our room and everything was fresh and clean.

"Great Location"
Breakfast not served until 7:30, If you have business meetings or work, don't expect to get any complimentary breakfast. The room was hot and the thermostat although set at 16 did not respond to the 25 plus temperature in my room all night. Beyond this, the hotel is very clean quite and the staff are exceptional.

"Handy to downtown Edmonton facilities."
Quick check-in & check-out. Room well-appointed, up to date, comfy bed, lots of pillows, free wi-fi. Breakfast restaurant surprisingly good and inexpensive. Too bad downtown Edmonton is run-down and gritty - of course early spring isn't the best time for the prairies. Frankly, I would never go back to Edmonton unless I had to. It is sad to see a big city with no one living downtown to bring real life to the area. I gather everyone lives in suburbs and goes to big box stores and malls. As a result, except for the theatre, art gallery and performing arts centre and nice restaurants scattered around, I could see hardly any retail except the necessaries. No one on the street except a few workers and the homeless. Downtown is also in dire need of a makeover, but from what I saw on the ride in from the airport, none of it is looked after. Empty fields and construction sites scattered with trash and chain stores and auto retailers were the view.

Staff were great. Very informative and worked swiftly to get you on your ways. But not in a pushy way.

"Great downtown location buts really needs renos"
I booked this hotel because it was really affordable and it was across the street from the event I was attending. When I told people that I was staying at the Delta, they all said it should be really nice. I walk into the lobby which was really nice, the staff was very friendly and helpful. But when I got into the room, it felt like it go forgotten about. The TV was an old CRT TV, no USB charging station and the tub was really old looking. It looked like it was at some point a spa tub but there was no indication that it was not working. I only found out by actually totally filling up the tub with water to find out the jets did not work. BUT the bed was nice. I slept really well. The view of the city centre mall was pretty interesting too since you can look down over the people coming in and out of The Bay. It sure feels like with the mall doing major upgrades, construction of the new arena across the street of the main doors of the hotel, that Edmonton is upgrading itself so it would be interesting to see what the hotel will look like once renos occur.

"Extra Fees"
Generally a good experience but there were a number of hidden fees in the room. Upon check in, a $30 per day parking assessment and having to pay for internet were hidden fees that were not disclosed. Overall it added an extra $125 to the stay over 2 nights. Be up front about the fees!
