"We had a great time! The House is definitely large enough to host all 8 of us with plenty of room! We used the 3 kayaks and tubes on the river. Such a great time! The location is perfect for outdoor activities. Very large yard with tree swing. This was exactly what we were looking for. There were a few things that could have been better such as the fire pit was full of weeds (we found a weed cutter and cut them down so we could use the fire pit). The kitchen lacked a few essentials such as...

"What a peaceful, tranquil setting on the Shell Rock River. We had a family gathering - 3 brothers and their wives - near where we fished with our Dad and Grandfather 60 to 65 years ago and spent the week sharing positive memories! Thank you for sharing the River House with us."

"The house was very comfortable and had all of the ammenities we needed. There was a little glitch about changing the date of check-in but was resolved quickly by Carmen. There was plenty of room for 5 of us with rooms to spare. My granddaughter was especially tickled to find several containers of toys. Beds were comfortable, the towels were nice - sometimes they are not! I would definitely recommend this spot to others. Thanks, Carmen!"

"My husband and I stayed at Bertie’s place for the second time and were reminded again of what a great stay this is for us. The house is so well-stocked, so clean, so comfortable, and it makes for a relaxing retreat. With the weather nicer this trip, we did get to sit on the deck and go by the water. We would recommend this stay, and we hope to be back!!"
