"The hotel is a hidden gem! It’s not the easiest place to drive to for the first time, but thereafter the hotel was excellent. The staff were all helpful, pleasant and hard working. The room itself had everything you needed and more for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel was central to walk to the abundance of pubs, restaurants and shops. Planning to return very soon. "

"The grounds and the staff were great. The bed was super comfortable and the room appeared to be as well. That is, until it I learned that there was no aircon and they did not have fans. This left me with the option to open the windows the tiny bit they can be opened to cool the room. Unfortunately, this meant a million bugs since there is no netting on the windows. I ultimately had to close the windows, kill as many bugs as I could, and then spend the night alternating between slapping bugs...

"On arrival at Waterside Hotel, found the car park was mostly filled with work vans, so wondered if it was the right choice for a couple, but on entering we found the staff friendly and helpful, the room was basic but clean, the TV was set on the dressing table blocking the mirror. Breakfast in the morning was really good, with a great choice and tasty well cooked hot food and good speedy service, so good value overall."

"Check in friendly and efficient. Room not huge but well designed to satisfy needs for a couple of days. Bar comfortable. Bed comfortable. Compact bathroom with good shower. Location is almost ideal for food drink transport and culture. Certainly would consider using again."

"Staff were polite, breakfast good, bar price reasonable and spotlessly clean. Hotel seemed quiet but parking was overflowing with cars parked in random places, I assume people parking here and flying from airport. We were lucky to get a space. There were other cars parked on road outside with several parking tickets. Hotel was good but parking would put me off using it again."

"Very reasonably priced stay. Basic room that is a little dated but was absolutely fine for a night. Didn't have time to sample any of the cooking and/or on-site pub but they looked good."
