Not only an amazing room rate but a very accommodating front desk staff who allowed me to securely leave my luggage early that morning until check-in time at 3pm. "The rooms are very basic, and the beds are LOW to the ground. The rooms are older and there isn't much to say about a view. However, it was easy to get to, walkable, very close to shopping, the beach, and the pool was fantastic. The pool was small, and they have pool bean bags not pool chairs, and only 4 of them, and 2 umbrellas. The pool wasn't crowded, and I didn't see a lot of kids which was nice. They do have an elevator. There is someone at the desk after hours. Overall, it was a simple...

"we had a wonderful experience in Avalon. staff were friendly. our clean was nice and clean. breakfast was good. convenient to shops and restaurants. walkable to the beach. i highly recommend!"

"There was a strong odor. At first I thought it was chlorine but they have no pool. I realized it was likely mildew. It was clean but aged. Very simple ambiance. Expensive restaurant with very subpar food. Price was reasonable so slightly disappointed but for the price, I don't expect the Ritz. "

"The property was across from Trader Joe’s which made it easy for us to get low cost meals while there. There’s also lots of shopping within walking distance. There’s free breakfast every morning and the shuttle from the hotel to the beach was free. Great value. "
