3 Star Hotels in Prince George CA $93

"Arrived in the evening after a long day at the dentist. I couldn't find my credit card at first as I was very groggy from my dental visit. The lady at check in was accommodating and allowed me to use my debit card to cover incidentals as I had prepaid for my room through Expedia. I booked a pet room as my dog was supposed to come along but plans changed. The room was clean but there was a lingering odour of dog and I seen a couple stains on the carpet. Nothing I wouldnt expect when booking a pet room. The room had some kitchen essentials and fit my needs well. "

"Very nice large and clean room. Very comfortable beds. Nice bathroom with shower. Good happy hour at the bar. Nice breakfast. On Sunday breakfast ran out of items that were not replaced in time. Staff were all very polite and friendly. Thank you for a great stay!"

"Before this hotel was the super 8 it was Esther’s. It has a flourishing and unique eco system within this building with healthy palm trees and other tropical plants, streams that flowed in and around them and throughout the hotel. It was warm and humid and felt like you’d stepped into a jungle. There were multiple pools, 2 hot tubs, a sauna and there were families with children running and laughing and playing everywhere. Now? The hot tubs are boarded up with plywood, the sauna says it’s in use but it’s beside the drained hot tub and surrounded by other closed off areas and there was no indication it was actually useable. The one pool that they’ve kept open was cold and dirty and our kids decided they werent chances going in there! With a large hotel with many rooms we were maybe one of six others in it. I’ve never been compelled to write a bad review like this but super 8 has failed miserably at keeping this hotel alive. The only improvement that’s come from it is the carpets in the rooms were removed. And the amazing buffet breakfast Esther’s used to have? Now it’s an Indian food restaurant for dinner, and “free continental breakfast” is a yogurt cup or fruit loops and bread you can toast. Not even a waffle maker. This was the most disappointment I’ve felt and I had heard it had went downhill and was preparing for it. But this was much worse. Two thumbs down to super 8 for running this unique hotel into the ground. "
