"Hotel is in a great location. Sites to see, plenty of dining options all within walking distance. We visited Coimbra as a one day stop, on our drive from Porto on the way to Lisbon, and we were able to see all the important sites, as well as sample the good restaurants for lunch and dinner. "First of all I knew from previous reviews the hotel was showing its age but my view was it had alot of charisma and charm. It also checked all the boxes for me on being convienently located, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Everything in my room functioned fine and my bed was comfortable. "For the price, this property was good. A little tired- but has a cozy feel, like your aunt’s house in Des Moines. There were no frills- a bed, shower, tv and there is no elevator - but it’s only 2 floors. Location is perfect for exploring Aveiro. Drawbacks- it was very cold in our room.
