We are a couple and our local friend recommended us to stay here, hotel was built in 1926, family-run, so it is a historical landmark in Coimbra. It's about a 5-min walk to the Coimbra train station (not the Coimbra-B) and perfect if you want to experience an older and tasteful hotel. Breakfast was sufficient but not amazing. If you're used to the modern style, spacious room, awesome TV, super clean carpet, big bed, then this is not for you. I have to say though staying 1-2 nights is fine, open view to the river, bright sunlight etc. was really nice. 15-min walk to Aldi (grocery store) across the river and there are a few restaurants in the area.
