"Our Room was conveniently on the ground level. It was clean and comfortable. There wasn't a lot of choices to park with a cargo trailer. It was downtown Thunder Bay and a lot of shady people were hanging out front"

"Our stay was enjoyable, this hotel is probably the most recently updated in Kenora as of the time of this review as the interiors of all the rooms including the lobby area were brand new and clean. The exterior appearance is a stark contrast though as I almost drove past thinking it was an older hotel. The breakfast is fine with fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles, and some hot options being offered. There is a restaurant right across the parking lot with good food and you could probably walk to...

"Loved the rustic look. Wooden finish on furnisher & walls. There was a nice full fridge with spacious freezer, very handy. There was also a nice sink in the same area. I would’ve liked to see a light in this kitchen area. Very spacious room with desk. Again would’ve liked to see a light or small lamp at desk. I was on the 2nd floor. There was thumping from people walking by outside the room on the wooden walkway. Good TV & internet"

"2-night stay while visiting family. Friendly staff and easy check-in. Location right downtown was convenient, but few amenities in area. Hotel in general is dated and in desperate need of upgrading but room was fair condition with comfortable beds. For a place to sleep overnight, it fit our needs."

"The rooms themselves are large and comfortable. The property itself needs some work (ie. fix the fascia/eavestroughs, clean the grounds, etc.), but it is very early in the season still. The dining room was completely closed which I wasn’t aware of before we had booked. There wasn’t a lot of restaurant options in town to choose from. "

"Cottages have everything you need and are functional. Some bathroom updates would be appealing but overall was clean and everything worked. Not a luxury resort but a reasonably priced and convenient location. Owners were very accommodating to reauests and the trails are a nice bonus."
