Cambie Hostel Gastown
2.0 star property
6.6 out of 10, (607)
"The staff were amazing! You couldn’t ask for nicer or more helpful people! The bedrooms were fairly clean. It depended on who was on shift. Sometimes it was so clean, mopped and sheets changed, sometimes forgotten and I would have to ask. The staff would always accept my request if I thought it could do with a mop or change of sheets. The kitchen is fully equipped and kept very clean. I love the fridges so you can store your food. There are a couple or so of homeless people who stay there a day...

"I had everything I required for my stay, except for hot showers. I never got any hot water. The best I could do was reduce the flow to a near dribble & get a tolerable tepid. The noise from downstairs was constant thru most of the nights, but I wore earplugs to dampen the sounds. However, on Friday night, they played loud music & I could hear the bass & drumbeats thru my plugs. I was kept awake until past midnight. Also my food was once stolen from the kitchen."

Stunning 3 bedroom Secondary Suite N. Van
Modern, spacious and Private suite in North Vancouver BC
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (90)
"The property is conveniently located within walking distance of Lonsdale shopping. Quiet apartment, nicely decorated. One of the stove elements didn’t seem to work. The kitchen is well stocked and functional. Several of the plates had remnants of cheese on them; so I think the dishwasher heat might be insufficient. All of the other features of the apartment are very good. I would definitely stay there next August when I return to North Vancouver. "
