"The "Donald " would be very proud."
Excellent service and personal attention. A 5 star plus rating. We celebrated anniversary, birthday, with business as first time visitors to Toronto, Canada. Andrea in Concierge made it feel like we had a "true friend" making sure we had the best of restaurants, tours, shows, and transportation.

"Fantastic little gem"
We were recommended this hotel by friends who live in Toronto and we were delighted with it. The staff were amazing, especially Kevin, and they all went above and beyond our expectations. The room was spacious and luxurious, breakfast was excellent as were the gym and pool. It is sophisticated luxury in the heart of Toronto.

"Worth every penny!"
I absolutely love this hotel! Location is perfect. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful - always smiling. My room was amazing - spacious, clean, nice decor on the walls, an abundance of towels. The minibar was well stocked (although I didn't have anything from it), and there were an abundance of snack foods on the counter as well. I especially loved the bathroom (heated floors!). Turn-down service offered a nice touch, which included a filled the ice bucket, complimentary bottle of water on the bedside table, radio turned on set to soft spa-like music playing, the staff set out a card that they personally filled out to indicate the next day's forecast, and so on. These small touches are what give the feeling of being taken care of, and makes all the difference in comparison to other places I've stayed. I ordered room service for breakfast, and it was delivered on time by another friendly staff member. The food was excellent. Checkout was a breeze. I'm already planning to return for a weekend very soon (once Wahlburgers opens!)

"Hotel oozing with character."
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it's a beautiful old hotel all tarted up with mod cons in the best possible taste, by people with a real sense of style. Our room was done by someone named "ladyfag" (no joke, google her) in what can only be described as "mid-19th Century cathouse boudoir". Staying there was pure delight. The hotel staff were all also equally stylish, friendly, and beautiful (both male and female). The only downside was that some of them seemed SINGULARLY uninformed about the neighborhood, but still, all were eager to be helpful. All in all well worth the rather high price. This would be my first choice place to stay in Toronto henceforth.

"Great hotel, great location: book it"
Terrific Chinatown boutique hotel. You arrive through the bar/restaurant (an airy, comfortable space), the staff is very friendly (have a drink while you're waiting) and within a few minutes the manager is checking you in. Rooms are very clean and bright (floor-to-ceiling window), very modern. King bed in the middle of the room: a bit tight to walk around, esp. to get to the small desk if you need to do a little work, but it's so bright and quiet that soon you don't notice. Events take place on the ground (bar) floor and first floor, but floors/ceilings are so well insulated that once you're in your room you can't hear them going on at all. It's fun to show up in the middle of an opening or somebody's wedding reception anyway. Great location: a few minutes from delicious dumplings or bahn mi on Spadina, around the corner (but a world away) from the funkiness of Queen St. The manager on the days we checked in and out, Rich, was the best: he made us feel at home. The housekeeper offered late check-out without my even asking. Many small nice touches. We'll be back.

"Unlike anything else you will have experienced."
The Templar will not be for everybodybut if you like simple clean lines and ultra modern architecture the Templar will be for you. It is quiet, private, unusual, simple and yet exotic. There is virtually no staff but the lady at the front desk was extremely nice and very helpful. I read the reviews before we booked the hotel and a few people were not happy with it. It has no fluff. It's concrete, steel and glass and that's how it was designed. I LOVED the hotel and I would recommend it to anybody looking for something different.
