"Great luxury hotel in Toronto"
Visited for only one night with my wife and three kids. The deluxe suite with a king bed was perfect. The staff was very friendly and hospitable and made sure to make our stay a pleasure for my children as well. Would definitely come back

"Fantastic little gem"
We were recommended this hotel by friends who live in Toronto and we were delighted with it. The staff were amazing, especially Kevin, and they all went above and beyond our expectations. The room was spacious and luxurious, breakfast was excellent as were the gym and pool. It is sophisticated luxury in the heart of Toronto.

"“Great Hotel, Great Location!”"
Visited August 29-30, 2014. We picked this hotel because it was very close to Roger Centre, which is why we were visiting Toronto. Less then a 5 minute walk to stadium & CN Tower. Our deluxe room was on the 4th floor of the hotel. The room was beautiful with so many awesome features like, a 42inch flat screen TV, king size bed, blu-ray player, cable, Ipod dock, automatic "do not disturb" button, which is located next to the bed, button for drapes to automatically open & close, huge closet area, robes, a safe, fully stocked mini bar and a luxury bathroom. The bathroom was my favorite part! Large soaking tub, glass doors in stand up shower, large vanity with a makeup mirror & heated floors!!! It's a very quite hotel and barely heard any noises come from other rooms or hallways. My only complaints would be that the bed was a tad firm for me, the gym was a little smaller then I excepted and the parking costing $35 a day. I know that's an average price for parking in a city hotel, I just think all parking should be included when staying at least 2 nights in all hotels. However, I would return to this SoHo Met location or any other location! FYI, Walburgers restaurant that is attached to the hotel, which was supposed to be opening Summer 2014 is still not open. I was looking forward to dining here. I don't think this has anything to do with the hotel, just thought I mention it.

"Great hotel, great location: book it"
Terrific Chinatown boutique hotel. You arrive through the bar/restaurant (an airy, comfortable space), the staff is very friendly (have a drink while you're waiting) and within a few minutes the manager is checking you in. Rooms are very clean and bright (floor-to-ceiling window), very modern. King bed in the middle of the room: a bit tight to walk around, esp. to get to the small desk if you need to do a little work, but it's so bright and quiet that soon you don't notice. Events take place on the ground (bar) floor and first floor, but floors/ceilings are so well insulated that once you're in your room you can't hear them going on at all. It's fun to show up in the middle of an opening or somebody's wedding reception anyway. Great location: a few minutes from delicious dumplings or bahn mi on Spadina, around the corner (but a world away) from the funkiness of Queen St. The manager on the days we checked in and out, Rich, was the best: he made us feel at home. The housekeeper offered late check-out without my even asking. Many small nice touches. We'll be back.

"Very disappointing"
On arrival after booking thru Expedia we were informed that we did not have a booking and the suite booked should not have been available on line. The receptionist was extremely rude and ended up telling us that the hotel system is not interfaced with the Expedia system. At no time were we offered an apology, it seemed to be everyone's fault except Templars. On the second day of a 5 night stay the city authorities started digging up the pavement and road in front of the hotel, suffering jet lag and having bull dozers close to our hotel window was not pleasant. The hotel was efficient at finding us a smaller back room. At no time during the 4 days of having no pavement in front of the hotel was there a general advice to guests explaining/apologising. This hotel is terribly disappointing.
