I spent two days here and it was unlike any other lodge/hotel I’ve been to before. The rooms are beautiful, the pool is stunning, the jungle gym is also such an amazing addition but nothing tops the the host himself, he made sure every question was answered and I truly felt at home almost 4000 km from Canada. Pura vida!!

I would rate 6 stars if I could! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. And the owners really care about you, they made our stay in Huacas an unforgettable experience! Thank you so much, and see you next time!

Clean excellent food (breakfast) small not dance but exactly what I was looking for.

We had an excellent time at the Mikado. It was our first time to Costa Rica and it was probably one of our best holidays. Such a fun adventure. Lolo was an excellent host and if you do stay you must take advantage of her dinners. Incredibly romantic. The location is perfect. Quick drives to Tamarindo, Playa Avellanas and Playa Conchal. Great places to explore and then return to the peace and tranquility of the lodge. Absolutely perfect.

This hotel is exceptional! When we arrived my husband was having an issue with some back pain. The hotel arranged for a Dr. to come to the hotel and help deal with the issue. They did this

Very nice, clean accommodation in a central location, just off the really busy area of playa Tamarindo, so it’s quiet at night. Everything is still within easy walking distance. Our room had a large comfortable king size bed and a functional mini kitchen. Also the staff were incredibly kind and helpful and there are 6 parking spots at the back of the hotel property which are free and convenient.

Very tranquil setting, extremely well kept grounds. The hosts were great, especially their two golden retrievers that added charm to the property!

Wow, this place is on another level. I have never had such amazing service, food and surroundings. Arno is there to make sure every need is met. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. He helped guide to several things that are a must in the area. Emma is also fantastic. It was so nice to see her friendly face every morning and learn about her and the culture. Great location as it is right on the beach but at one end of it so it’s a little quieter. Having said that you can still easily walk into the main area of the town to enjoy restaurant’s and the night life.

The staff was super friendly. The pool was great. Including dinner was a great addition. However you need u beds; ours was not very comfortable. We stayed in room 44

It was a very nice experience staying at this hotel. The staff was super friendly, there was a nice welcome drink upon arrival, the breakfast was delicious and satisfying, the room was very clean and comfortable, and although the beach is rocky (can't swim in it), it was beautiful to watch the sunset. Plus, they provide free sunset drinks at the beach, which was a pleasant surprise! We saw monkeys in the trees every evening just before sunset and you do hear them occasionally howling. The...

What an amazing spot! Its secure and feel secluded when you're up in your bungalow or by the private pool but really you're only steps away from the beach where you can catch amazing sunsets and walk for miles! The breakfasts are all made on demand to suit your timing and so delicious! The owners are both so helpful and knowledgable of the area - I couldn't have asked for a better setup! (also great for remote work)

LOVED the pool and the room. It was 12/10. Absolutely perfect. The only downside would be that there was no drinkable water onsite. We had to go and buy some everyday.
