I had booked my preferred room in October of 2025 from my stay in February 2026\. Upon check in I was told that they "had to take a room out of service" and that my room was no longer available. I ended up staying in a different room. It was okay. The hotel is clean and pretty well maintained. My main issue was the noise, which I had hoped to reduce with my original room choice (room where the bed is separate from the main space away from the window and heater). Between the traffic, sirens, and heater coming on and off throughout the night, I had a terrible sleep. Parking was also an additional fee. I will book somewhere else next time.

The grounds and the winery here at Hessenland are beautiful. We loved being able to walk around and explore the gardens and lovely seating areas. The outdoor pool was a refreshing treat during this heat wave. The food and drink was fabulous and the staff wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful. We found the inn itself dated and tired looking. The rooms and sitting areas could use with an update and refresh like the rest of the property has had. On the whole though we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at Earthquest Lodge for 3 nights and it was an excellent choice! Quiet and clean and the host was very kind, accommodating all requests, like nightstand lamp, coffee maker, ground coffee (from the house, thank you for saving my mornings!). The room was clean, with new mattress, all amenities, quiet area, ideal for resting and peace. Everything is at walking distance, the beach, the dining places and most of all, the famous submarine! Thank you, Dave and wife and Tom, I will definitely return with my family!

Our stay at this bed and breakfast was fantastic! The festive Christmas atmosphere made everything feel cozy and magical. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and incredibly attentive, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning. I would definitely stay here again!
