Chez Swann is in a great location to explore Montreal . Parking is under the hotel next door which is convenient but does require moving luggage through their lobby and down a flight of stairs . The staff are very helpful. The room was a little tired . Gouged wooden floor , no toilet paper holder and weird steps from bathroom to bed which we were not expecting . Not great for walking at night . The breakfast was disappointing. No fresh fruit , packaged pastries, bad coffee, no eggs. We went out the second day to the restaurant down the street for breakfast. For the price I think they could do better .

Good choice to stay

Excellent location, super lovely room. Tip: there is parking nearby, but it does not belong to the hotel and is around 60$ a day, but it is monitored 24/hr, which is a bonus.

Room wasn't fully clean when we checked in. However, everything else about the hotel deserves a solid rating

Pros 1- We were able to check out two hours late 2-Clean Hotel 3- Helpful staff Cons 1-Area around Hotel was kind of sketchy…Homeless folks and druggies 2-Very Noisy at night…Sirens…Doors slamming 3-Bar / Restaurant was VERY pricey $35 for a Hamburger…Yikes!!!

This a hotel that’s originated from a prestigious property then extended to a modernized building. Its computerized climate/light/curtains control stood out for us! We were very well welcomed by the front desk, the greeting guys and everyone who helped us moving all luggages from cars to the room (considering we were bringing two toddlers on our trip, we brought many luggages and strollers) . It was also very thoughtful of the frontline lady who provided welcoming stuffed animals to our kids. Thank you. The beds were comfortable, the location is unbeatable and very close to the fine art museum. The room temperature was comfortable and the vents were very quiet at night (I’m a very light sleeper but I slept very well during my stays at le Mount Stephen. One star was taken off because the toilet was not cleaned one night (there were two soiled diapers inside so may e that’s why?). But overall, a very satisfying stay at a top notch hotel in downtown Montreal!
