Absolutely loved this stay in downtown Charleston. Perfect location to restaurants and shopping. The afternoon tea at Camelia’s and the rooftop pool really sets this 5 star property apart from the others. 10 out of 10 stay.

Location is right in the historic area of Charleston. The market is nearby and great shopping on King Street is within easy walking distance.

Absolutely loved everything except for the light switches. There were so many light switches in the room. We didn’t know what light went to which switch. Also kind of weird to have the bathtub in the shower wasn’t really a fan. Favorite thing was watching the ships come through the river. If you can get a view of the river absolutely 100% worth it.

We had a wonderful stay at Planters Inn while celebrating my mom’s 80th birthday in Charleston. The staff was exceptional, our courtyard-facing suite was spacious and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Having a great restaurant on-site was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed at the Inn several times over the years, and it's always perfect. It's like coming home to warm slippers after a hard day at work. Or visiting your favorite family member, where the door is always open, and you're always welcome. The best part of this Inn is the genuine warmth of every staff member. The rooms are all different, and every little detail makes them perfectly unique. Comfy beds, fluffy pillows, and beautiful decor. The breakfasts are homemade and just like Mom used to make...what an excellent way to start your day on Folly! And, if you time it right, you can score some Folly Punch at happy hour nightly. Cannot say enough good things about this Inn...from attention to detail to a warm smile & perfect island breezes, this Inn has mastered the concept of true Southern Hospitality. Splurge. It's worth every penny!
