As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

The location was very central, but away from the noise. Beautiful clean and spacious room. They have an excellent team, Claire, Remy were extra helpful A must for the people seeking for a quiet , holiday

Bonjour! What a wonderful little but delightful Maison. Lovely, friendly welcome. The staff are all very friendly and professional and the house and rooms are all fabulous and especially the spiral staircase. My room was large, spacious, clean and modern with high ceiling and view over the small pool. It’s a classic small mansion style you will see in photos, almost boutique as I’m sure all the rooms are different. I came in winter so couldn’t enjoy the pool and health facilities but I’ll bet it’s just amazing in spring and summer and so I’d love to come back with my partner too. The trams stop just outside so if you wanted to get to the centre it’s ideal but also the local area is friendly and safe too. I was here with business but would definitely return. Merch beaucoup to all.

This is truly a five star hotel and experience. The location is perfect - so many stores and restaurants in walking distance and very easy tram system next to hotel (our first time using tram and wonderful way to get around, Bordeaux is huge). The staff are wonderful and provide high level service throughout your stay. Breakfast buffet is outstanding with great service and variety. Spa is special. Definitely recommend highly.

Very clean and quiet room. Hotel is close to the city center, so within easy walking distance of coffee shops & restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful in arranging tours. Would definitely stay here again!

Morimoto restaurant was great

Breakfast was delicious and the venue was small and intimate.
