We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. One of the best things about the location is how convenient it is. We were within walking distance of so many places, which made getting around easy and allowed us to enjoy the area without constantly having to drive. From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and you could tell that the property is taken care of. Breakfast was another nice part of our stay. The breakfast area was very clean and organized, and there were plenty of choices to satisfy everyone. Everything was well stocked, and it was a great way to start the day before heading out. We also really appreciated the overall atmosphere of the area. We felt safe and comfortable walking around, and the surrounding neighborhood was welcoming and convenient. Overall, we had a very positive experience. Between the friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, safe surroundings, and excellent location, this was a great place to stay. We would absolutely stay here again on a future visit and would gladly recommend it to family and friends.

This hotel is a stunning place to relax. The artwork, in itself, provides a serene and beautiful stage for escape and pampering. The spa is beyond fabulous. Plenty of people enjoying the public spaces but never a feeling of being too much. Service rivals none, and we have been fortunate to stay in many wonderful settings as we travel. Very much worth the planning ahead to enjoy all that the Umstead has to offer.

The Landing Apartment was great. Perfect location, clean and very walkable to explore the city. Only small thing is I would have liked something in the shower to put your toiletries on. Otherwise it was perfect and the food hall across the street was an amazing bonus. Would definitely stay there again!

I made a reservation through Expedia and chose the option to pay on arrival. After driving 5hrs with my daughter we arrived about 10:45pm to no one at the front desk. There was a note saying they would be back with a phone number. Thankfully other people from our team had already arrived and met me by the front desk. We proceeded to call the number and my friend spoke with the owner letting him know I had arrived. She had let him know I was coming when she arrived. He proceeded to say that there was no room available for me. That even though I had a reservation it wasn’t going to be honored. He offered a room 15min away. I told him that I picked this place because other members of the team had also booked. I told him I did not feel comfortable being that far from my team especially since it was just me and my daughter. I called 2 other hotels where other teammates had booked and they were both full. We ended up squeezing into a room with a gracious teammate. Very disappointed in their lack of honoring my reservation.
