Basic hotel surprisingly everything is abandoned in the vicinity

Our experience at Grand Hotel Du Lac Boutique Saigon was absolutely perfect! Sammy, Anna, Kelly, Gracie and the team were fantastic, and were so welcoming, helpful and kind from start to end. The rooms and facilities itself and value with the buffet breakfast was incredible! This was a perfect experience, and I will definitely be staying here again when I next come to Vietnam.

We stayed in a nicer room on the ninth floor. I would say it’s the honeymoon suite. It was even better than the photos! My wife and I were very happy! Vietnam is very humid and the room can get hot when the ac isn’t on. In Ho Chi Minh every hotel uses a system that requires you to put your hotel room key card in this card holder next to the door to turn on the electricity for the room which also affects the ac. The morning breakfast had a lot of different foods to try and was good. Staff are very helpful and do their best to communicate in English when necessary. Pool area is beautiful. And the balcony for the honeymoon suite allowed us to see fireworks for Independence day.

Good - staff Terrible - basically no gym ( a 2x2 room w/a couple of dumbbells. TBH, insulting they call it a gym) Most surprised about that, for a hotel within the “luxury” level, we got a room with NO windows! It was basically a shoebox. I think it’s deceiving, it wasn’t disclosed and I have never been in a hotel room with no windows.
