Definitely use the Valet because parking is a nightmare in downtown Charleston. Make sure when you book your stay to call the restaurant to make reservations as they get filled up quite quickly. Minutes away from the open air market. Beds are very comfortable.

We loved the Thompson! Everything was amazing! We used to live in Savannah and this area has become such a pleasant addition to Savannah! Staff helped us quickly with an HDMI hookup and accommodations were wonderful.

Clean room, excellent roof top bar, so-so breakfast. Front desk hit or miss. Housekeeping very good, responsive. Coffee and tea weak.

No breakfast for the price and I did not care for the mandatory fee for popcorn as a refreshment.

The property was very well maintained and clean. The front desk manager was extremely helpful upon arrival. She found us a quieter room at our request. We loved the interior aesthetic and design of the hotel. Our room was very comfortable. The main bar appeared to have only one seasoned employee. He was great at his job and very helpful. Upon future visits to the same bar, we were left disappointed by the lack of attention and detail to customer service by other staff. Especially considering how expensive the drinks were. The basement bar was underwhelming. And, service by a male employee, named Sam, left us feeling unwelcome. The pool area and upstairs bartender, a female named Sam, was a breath of fresh air. Overall, room and amenities were comfortable. Staffing could be improved with more consistency and training.

Loved the historical feel to the hotel. I have stayed there now twice and loved it. Staff are always there to help you in any capacity.

Strange and confusing layout. Shower didn’t work well, pool was not super clean and overall found it to be overpriced for what you get.
