Definitely use the Valet because parking is a nightmare in downtown Charleston. Make sure when you book your stay to call the restaurant to make reservations as they get filled up quite quickly. Minutes away from the open air market. Beds are very comfortable.

We loved the Thompson! Everything was amazing! We used to live in Savannah and this area has become such a pleasant addition to Savannah! Staff helped us quickly with an HDMI hookup and accommodations were wonderful.

Clean room, excellent roof top bar, so-so breakfast. Front desk hit or miss. Housekeeping very good, responsive. Coffee and tea weak.

From the ambience, to the coziness, staff, food and bar, it felt luxurious but not stuffy. This place was like a nice glass of brandy. The feel of hardwoods on your feet in the morning and the spaciousness removed the hotel feel. The location next to Reynolds Square, food, fair, etc…superb. Even the valet, perfection. Treat yourself. I’ll be back with friends….oh, and order the Mamie Taylor at the main bar.

Our room was clean and supplied with everything we needed. We loved the free coffee availability in the lobby each morning to get the day started. The quick complimentary shuttle to Charleston is the way to travel compared to the water taxi charging $15 per person. The driver provided us with a descriptive history lesson of Charleston on the short 15 minute trip. Overall, we had a great stay at the Ocean Club Resort.

Strange and confusing layout. Shower didn’t work well, pool was not super clean and overall found it to be overpriced for what you get.

Clean room, stocked with beach and bath towels. Bed and pillows were surprisingly very comfortable allowing for a great night sleep. Bath had a personal jacuzzi tub. Their outdoor jacuzzi along with their spa robes felt like a luxurious experience at the spa. The wife and I bought a wine bottle, and their front desk provided the cork opener and glasses. Breakfast was a homier version of a hotel's continental breakfast. Staff was friendly and offered golf cart rides to the local beach.
