Hand towel was the only issue for the room. Everything was spotless apart from the hand towel. Room was big and bathroom was freshly renovated. The communication could be better, we had to txt first to get the code to get in, this should be sent out the day before, especially for those travelling a long distance like us. Aside from that I have no complaints and it wouldn’t stop me going back.

From check in to departure, although only one night, this was a great place to. Check in was simple, and the staff very friendly, helpful and chatty. The room was perfect and a great view over the small farm next to it. The food was very good (fish and chips) , and again the staff were helpful, attentive and friendly. The room came with a help yourself little breakfast, which was tea/coffee, toast and cereal, which was very nice. There were amenities in the bathroom although a little small! The bed was very comfortable. If in the area again, I would stay there in a heartbeat!

The rooms are spacious and well furnished and it should be a pleasure to stay. BUT for a hotel which promotes itself as a luxury hotel, it had several short-commings. There are 2 main ones. There is no laundry service. Breakfast, the only meal I ate there, is extremely lacking. Coffee was always served tepid at best, even after I asked for it to be hot. The eggs had been pre-cooked and left to sit on a hot plat or bain-marie, The result was that the yolk was tough and hard. When I mentioned this the waitress said there had been many complaints. The spa is a handy luxury, but among its amenities the actual spa ( tub of hot water with vigorous bubbles) was lacking.
