Location was good but always a shortage of parking. The main lot needs to be repaired. There were huge potholes in the main lot.

Absolutely beautiful and unique property. The rooms are lovely - but the lobby is such a great, warm area to spend some time. Sometimes second visits don’t live up to the first - not the case here. It was just as well-maintained and comfortable as our first visit!

The Hotel in Pownal is one of the best accommodations we have stayed in on our cross-Canada road trip. It is clean, warm (ambience and staff), comfortable, pet-friendly (treats, a toy and poo bags!), and offers a really good breakfast with china dishes--not the disposable plates, cutlery, etc. that we've encountered elsewhere. A lovely touch is the complimentary glass of wine or beer during the hotel's daily happy hour for guests.
Onsite parking is provided at no charge, and there is a free charging station for guests with EVs.
We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again, should we return to Charlottetown.
