No cleaning or daily service without request. Unbelievable.

Hotel was good. Nice sized room, full washer/dryer and kitchenette. I wasn't expecting a remote checkin process. I needed to type a code in to open the front door, then communicate over WhatsApp to gat another 6 digit code to open my room's door. It was a bit weird not having a clerk onsite, but it worked. I think many people would prefer a traditional checking process but the remote staff were always very responsive

The property was centrally located, close to the market, TH, Dollarama, lots of bakeries, shops and eateries. The metro and buses were close by. Next time we would not rent a car.

I saw droplets of soap residue upon first pee on the floor so was not properly mopped. The hand shower was very weak so I had to use the rain shower and bounce around to not get my hair wet. The toilet had a flush button on the left 30-40 cm from the wall and I chipped my manicure aa my nail got caught in their button. Also there are French doors in the hallway to the washroom for a corner King suite. Turndown service had a menu that included a bath but I had no bathtub so was a tad annoyed after paying $500 Canadian. There is also no pool and I got confused by their "world class fitness centre" --- I would have rather stayed at Fairmont or Germain or Holiday Inn Also there's only one extra pillow in the closet and the pillows were too soft and saggy, I slept with couch cushions. There's also a 2 or 3" mattress soft cover which was worn and slept in, probably put on as the bed was sinking. I was in #512 or #517 and I do not think this is a 5 star hotel. I was very disappointed as I choose based on brand but when I was comparing hotels in the area I found most had pools and jacuzzis so assumed their "world class fitness centre" did. The purpose of my trip was I drove from Toronto and wanted to pick up Montreal/Quebec only goodies (Schwartz, cheese, Fairmont bagels) so wanted to stay in that eve to relax. This is not a 5 star hotel. If you are set on Golden Mile stay elsewhere to get your luxury stay.

Nice historic building with a good location. Our grand city view room was spacious and had a great view, but with kind of an odd layout. The separate living room area was very narrow - but it worked. The service left something to be desired. The staff was kind of indifferent and not very accommodating. We requested hypo-allergenic (nonfeather) pillows at check in and the clerk said he would see what he could do but wasn't sure they had any available. A bellman came to the room and said he couldn't locate any with kind of a "sucks for you" attitude, I then complained again to the front desk and told them we didn't appreciate the attitude and were likely to change hotels the next day, and miraculously they located a couple of hypo-allergenic pillows for us about 20 minutes later. Also, the maid service was not what you would expect in a luxury hotel - they kind of did the minimum (made beds, emptied wastebaskets, changed out glassware), but didn't rehang robes or tidy up like some other hotels we have stayed at.
