8.4/10 Very good! (1,143 reviews)
My husband and I recently stayed at Le Méridien in uptown Charlotte. The view was amazing, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Unfortunately, the room itself felt dated and lackluster, especially for the nightly rate.
A few things in our room did not work. The mini fridge and bedroom telephone were out of order, and we had to have maintenance come in to fix the television. For what we paid, we expected the room’s basic amenities to work properly.
The bed’s platform also extends out in a way that makes it easy to hit your lower shin while walking around it.
One of the hotel’s eateries was closed throughout our stay, which was disappointing because we were unable to get specialty coffees there.
On top of the room rate, parking was an additional $30 per night, which felt excessive, especially when the lot was far from full and the hotel is older. While we enjoyed the view and comfortable bedding, the maintenance issues, unavailable eatery, and added parking expense left us disappointed with the overall value.
