Very good service

This hotel was great. The room was clean and well maintained. The location was also great as it was in the middle of downtown and right at one of the hop off hop on trolley stops.

We were exhausted when we arrived! The receptionist was very nice and extremely accommodating. She actually carried 2 of our bags up the stairs! There is no elevators. The room was ok. We had only one wash cloth and one hand towel for myself and my husband. You have to step up to the bathroom and closet, we both tripped! I was so tired i tripped twice! There needs to be a small sign or bright paint on tread to prevent falls! We are over the age of 65, and did i mention we were exhausted from 13 hours of travel! The friendliness of the staff made up for this, somewhat! The other couple had nothing good to share, other than they wished they had stayed at the Air B and B they had found! So not sure their rating. All in all the adventure had begun! It did have a great location and Yokes a breakfast place was a short walk away, 5% discount when we showed our key and their food sustained us and helped us to refuel till we had lunch on cruise ship. Its a short drive to port and about $25 fee. I can't say we would stay again, i felt bad cause I booked the hotel and 3 others were counting on me. For Vancouver, this was the best price we could find. If only the price matched the quality! Oh one more thing we paid $230/night and were told it was because of The World Cup, which had ended about 2 weeks prior. I Checked their website on 8/2 and they were asking $650/night! That is a tad ridiculous. Not sure if Expedia is aware of all this but they need to be.
