(1,042 reviews) Everything was fine. The beach is so overcrowded and the pool is too. The pool is very small. The beach is public so tons of people. Everything is an upcharge, we very much felt things were expensive even by Hawaii standards. Service and meals at the restaurants were very good, especially lunch. The room didn’t get cleaned til like 5:00 every day but it was ok. The spa was very nice and the outdoor huts for massages were so very nice. Overall I don’t think Royal Hawaiian should be among the expensive hotels anymore. It’s dated and needs renovating. But it is a pretty place.
