The room we stayed in had a kitchenette, with a washer/dryer. And even had free rides to the nearby places that were cool

We really liked this hotel! Super close and convenient for Universal and some fun family rooms with bunkbeds that the children loved. We would definitely stay again.

Liked the traditional Japanese home. However the hotel is a bit cramped (possible same across Kyoto) - the room overall is big, but the number of doors/small enclosures make it feel cramped.

Clean and peaceful

Great staff great restaurants on location and very convenient location. Room TV was a little outdated but that’s a very minor nitpick.

This hotel was amazing! The staff, amenities, and cleanliness were all excellent. Plus, it was super close to a family mart and the famous markets! I’d definitely recommend it, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Great service, location, and food options. Rooms were bigger than average Japan size. Love that they have laundry service for affordable price. What a gem of a hotel!

A lovely building near a scenic historic castle and located close to public transportation to go anywhere else you would like to in Kyoto. The staff is superb, they are endlessly friendly and helpful and I can’t thank them enough for their outstanding service. The restaurant is excellent, aside from the breakfast which I gladly enjoyed every morning I actually enjoyed the dinner so much I went twice during my stay. The restaurant staff in particular were fun and friendly on top of being prompt and efficient. My room was beautiful and the bed was excellent. All the other amenities you would expect are present and the daily housekeeping is both prompt and unobtrusive. Needless to say I greatly enjoyed my stay here and I would gladly do it again and recommend it to any friends who plan a Kyoto vacation.
