An exceptional hotel experience from start to finish. This truly delivers a 5-star standard in every sense. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, making the stay feel welcoming and seamless. The breakfast menu was outstanding, with a great variety of high-quality options to suit all tastes. The location is extremely convenient, making it easy to explore and get around the city. The room itself was excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with everything needed for a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a genuine 5-star experience.

Very spacious room, helpful staff (we met Michael and the French chef at the breakfast restaurant, they are really helpful and cheerful), wonderful view Except one of the staff at the reception assumed asian (myself) should speak Mandarin, cos he only knows Japanese and Mandarin, but very little English. My husband is from England and the staff insisted to speak to me in Mandarin. I guess as a paid customer we will have to do what's convenient for the staff not the other way round right? I hold a hk passport doesn't mean I HAVE to speak Mandarin or know this language. Never Assume, we speak Cantonese in HK.

Plenty of restaurant choices inside the hotel and the spa was nice too

This resort is isolated, so I would recommend purchasing their breakfast package if you like to eat early. I regret not getting an international license and renting a car, however it does have a bus limousine to/from the airport, but it only runs until the afternoon. A public bus also stops at this resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was low season (mid March), the pools were open but the outdoor ones were cold (didn't stop us from swimming!). The staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful: from the moment we arrived (porters, reception), during our stay (pool & ground staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping, market staff) and our departure (concierge, porters). They all made our vacation delightful and very pleasant! Their breakfast buffet is spectacular! Western and Asian offerings, so something for everyone. The dishes themselves don't rotate, but with the variety, it was easy to eat something "new" everyday. Beach is very well kept. Towel service near each pool. Lifeguards on duty at the pools and beach. They provide many amenities in your room: pajamas, flip flops, beach bag (which we used for laundry), bathroom toiletries, small fridge, bottled water. Washer/dryers are available in each wing but take coins only. Change machine in laundry room, very convenient. We would definitely stay here again. The Ryukyu Hotel and Resort, Nashiro Beach exceeded our expectations!

Lots of children here but adult pools available. Not an ideal couples retreat. But the facilities and staff handle it well and we were not inconvenienced. Sunset wing seems quieter than beach wing. Huge property was enjoyable to walk and nearby roadside and seaside paths offer miles of jogging/ walking/biking. Food was wonderful. Staff was 10/10 although they are sticklers for “officially” checking out rather than just charging your card.

Older hotel, but beautiful. It’s not easy to get to from the airport if you are taking a taxi or limo bus. Takes about 2 hours with traffic. Multiple restaurants, but there is usually long lines for the buffets. Absolutely gorgeous ocean views. Only two out of three elevators were working and we were on the 9th floor, so on average it took between 5-10 minutes of waiting during busy times to get on an elevator. Most times we were crammed in like sardines and stopped at every floor. Property is walkable and there are hidden little beaches everywhere. You can rent an e-bike and ride around. We rode to the lighthouse and into town. The staff were excellent and the rooms were huge. Only a few restaurants were open in March. I guess more open up over the summer, but finding options were limited. There is a little town square about a 12 minute walk from the hotel that has more dining options.
