When we arrived at the hotel, the lobby was beautiful and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, check in time was 4:00 pm and after 5:00 pm, we did not have a room. My husband spoke with the front desk and explained that we had been up for over 30 hours due to driving from New Hampshire. Not much longer after that, we had a room, but we did arrive at 11:00 am and saw other people getting rooms, while we waited. Although, the room we got was very spacious and clean. It could use some updated kitchen tools and pots and pans. They did have a lot of amenities as well as activities to help keep the guests entertained. There were grills to use but you had to sign out the grill utensils from the activities center, which closed at 8:00 pm. There is also no time limit on using the grill utensils or other sports equipment. So, a guest could sign out the utensils and keep them however long they like inhibiting the chances for other guests to use them. Anytime I had an issue, I spoke with the managers, and they were pleasant and easy to speak with.

I've stayed at this hotel many times and there are several reasons why I don't stay anywhere else. The rooms are huge and clean. (Book golf course view!) They have excellent restaurants and one of them is open 24/7. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and safe, but not boring! They have always allowed me to do late-check out which it is highly appreciated. And last but not least. The renovation is looking amazing. This hotel will be pretty once it's all finished. I liked it before and I will like it even more in the future!

We have stayed here many times and have always been impressed by how well-maintained the buildings, grounds and golf course are.

The staff did an excellent job with communicating with us, my son really loved the water park in the swimming pool, this is a place I definitely will stay again.

We stayed two nights. As a 40-something traveling with my spouse and kids, I don't we're the demographic they're catering to, so that probably informs some of my more negative impressions. Positively, I think the staff was generally friendly and helpful. Housekeeping cleaned our room impressively quickly while we were out for breakfast. The grounds are attractive, although driving a mile to get off-property is sort of a nuisance. Our room looked quite nice and made a positive impression as soon as we walked in. Negatively, some of the amenities and features of the rooms are weirdly bad. The wifi in our room was terrible, frequently cutting out. The fact that the doors of the bathroom had fairly significant gaps at the bottom was annoying; if you're sharing your room, you'll be more aware of your companions' digestion than you'd like. We didn't have a microwave, and the nearby ice machine was seemingly broken. Breakfast options are limited if you don't want to go off-site. Beyond that, while I wouldn't say the place is unfriendly to kids, the resort doesn't present a lot to occupy them. But again, I don't think Boulders is targeting families, so that's fair enough. I wouldn't try to get my money back or anything, but Phoenix has a lot of resorts. I'd try others before coming here again.
