I have been staying here (and in most of the 5 star hotels in BKK) for many years.
It has had its ups and downs but it is still a good property:
-Spacious Rooms
-Excellent beds
-A proper desk and 3 chairs in the room
-A safe
-Extra large TV screen
-Centrally located
-Excellent Food
- A 7-11 next door
-Shopping nearby
-Walking distance to MTS
-Super friendly Staff
-Daily Maid Service
-Daily change of sheets!
-Excellent Laundry & Dry Cleaning 7 days per week
-Reasonable rates
It is continuously getting facelifts, one area at a time.
-And: it is QUIET, thanks to being set back in a cul-de-sac.
It once was very popular with middle aged Americans who were regulars for years, now it attracts a more diverse, younger crowd.
The hotel used to employ many more people (so it seems to me to be run by a skeleton crew now), but I could not find anything wrong, their enthusiasm makes up for the difference.
