Great location! Staff were very polite and the hotel was quiet, clean, and very comfortable.

I had a mixed experience in this hotel. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, and the room itself was clean. However, the building is quite old and unfortunately shows its age. There was a strong mold smell in the rooms. The sheets and towels were clean but very worn out and yellowed, which didn’t give a great feeling of freshness. The breakfast was excellent — definitely the highlight of the stay.

We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it. We were mostly impressed with the staff, especially Daniel, during our stay. He was incredibly attentative. I think it is worth staying overnight here rather than a day trip, as when the day trippers leave it is very tranquil. If you do not like birds, we would not recommend, but I found the frigate birds incredible to see up close! We took a short trip to the main island and Daniel gave us a tour of the local villages - this was also a great experience. A great place to really switch off and relax.

Perfect location, friendly and kind staff. Local craftsmanship in architectural details. Very comfortable bedding for a great night’s sleep. Pleasantly surprised by an upgrade which gave us our private outdoor jacuzzi and patio!!

My stay at Hotel Caribe by Faranda Grand was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and felt truly taken care of. The property itself is stunning, great amenities, and a location that’s perfect- just a short walk to nearby stores and attractions. What really made my experience outstanding, however, was the service. Every staff member went above and beyond, but I want to especially recognize Alexy Ruiz one of the managers. His professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care made all the difference in my stay. He was always ready to assist with a smile, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just a visitor. The food was delicious, the pool was a favorite for our family, and the entire atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. I cannot thank the team enough for making my stay so memorable. I highly recommend Hotel Caribe by Faranda Grand for anyone looking for a perfect mix of comfort, service, and hospitality. I will definitely be returning!

Charleston Santa Teresa Hotel has all the positives expected of a 5 star hotel: impeccable residence, superb food and restaurant, amazing architecture both internal and out - - - - - What I appreciate MOST about Charleston Santa Teresa is the pleasures of a 5 star resort without ANY of the pretentiousness or snobbery which is usually associated with luxury. I would highlight the staff of the hotel most of all as being friendly, involved, respectful, understanding, polite, and appropriate. - - - I am a traveler who presents as an adult aged woman of color, I felt welcomed in the Santa Teresa. There was zero being questioned about my stay. There was no being treated as if I were expected or encouraged to leave. No one, not fellow guests nor staff, questioned me nor made me feel unwelcome. My stay was divine. I will stay here the next time I travel to this area. I will recommend the Santa Teresa to anyone and I strongly encourage you to stay there.

Casa Carolina is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Cartagena’s Old City. The location is unbeatable—you can walk everywhere and never need an Uber. With only 15 rooms, it feels like staying in a private home, and the pool is gorgeous. The staff and service were amazing—truly one of the highlights of our stay. A few things to note: the wellness-style menu is healthy but doesn’t offer many snack options. Street performers outside (especially drummers) can be very loud at night, though they’re usually gone by 11 PM. At checkout, they asked for a 10% tip on the entire stay, which felt a little uncomfortable—we only tipped on food and beverage. Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons. We would definitely stay again for the location, the charm, and the incredible staff.
