We got upgraded to a beautiful 2 bedroom loft suite and it’s superb!! The baristas at lil James were amazing!! Highly recommend and will stay again!!

This hotel is in a great spot right next to the river in historic Savannah which I’m assuming is what justifies the price of the rooms, which are seriously average. Walking in to the room, it has the feel of a very cheap hotel with harsh spotlights and cheap tiles. The bathrooms need upgrading desperately and the room felt dark and cramped. There was a bottle of wine plus two bottles of water on arrival. I’d have gladly opened the wine, but there was no corkscrew in the room! The whole trip felt quite strange. Aside from check in (which was after midnight due to a flight delay), literally no one spoke to us at all. Not the restaurant staff as we were browsing the menu, not the people in reception… no one. At check out, we were standing around for ages while the slowest transaction ever took place in front of us with one lone employee. Finally a doorman came over to help us. I’ll stay elsewhere next time.

Staff is attentive and eager to please

We were very impressed at first look at the property both outside and inside. The interior design was superb. After spending a few hours at the Inn, I began to notice some issues with cleanliness. The property needs a very deep cleaning. Surfaces are kept OK but upon further look, you will find dust and debris underneath furniture, on hardwood, on rugs in the dining room, and dust behind open doors. I was sitting in a side chair in our room and the light was coming in the window and it revealed a dusty and dirty wooden bed rail, and a dusty floor under the bedside chest. I had to get something that had fallen under the bed and I saw about an inch thick of dust under the bed on the area rug. You could see where the vacuum stopped and couldn’t reach. It was very gross. The bathrooms were decent, but around the vanity sink legs, there was hair and debris. The toilet had a ring in it, but when I tested to see if it could be wiped clean, it didn’t come off. We enjoyed the daily evening wine and hooves, but on two of the four days that we were there, they put it out late. The fresh cookies daily were delish! Loved that we could ask for a soda. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our breakfast server, but it would have been nice to see his handsome face. His hair was hanging in his eyes the entire time. After our first night, our room was not tended to. We then made sure we put on the make up room sign for future days. Furniture in the parlor is starting to wear on the arms.

The Hotel is in a great location. There is an old Irish bar across the street, walkable everywhere. The staff is incredible. When we pulled up, we were met by Julian (valet), he was so welcoming and worked hard. He went out of his way to run to our car to get items, he filled our cooler with ice, and was nothing but kind. They accidentally double charged us (super inconvenient) but Sy Morgan their manager tried his hardest to accommodate us. Personally they should have comped us a night or gave us rewards for future stays, but they did buy our dinner and drinks. Sy was honestly the reason I didn’t lose it (almost cried as it was ~$2000). Matthew a waiter in the restaurant Emporium was outstanding. He made us feel so welcomed. Then there was Tyler at the rooftop bar, worked nonstop and was super accommodating and polite. Our only other quirk (besides $$) was the pool area. There were people in need of places to sit and they have these cabanas that you can rent not being used. They were either empty or the staff was kicking people out of them. People already pay good money to stay, cabanas should just be open. Oh and our room was outstanding, so comfortable!!

Breakfast was fresh and room was nice and clean

Had a great time. Property was beautiful. Staff amazing overall. Downfalls - bed mattress was failing and very uncomfortable and guest services/housekeeping was unresponsive. Also, no iron in room or a place to hang any clothing. Food was wonderful, pool areas and grounds were wonderful and safe! Would return again.

We had a good stay at this hotel. The room was modern, well decorated and spacious. Beds and chairs in the room were comfortable. Bathroom was modern and well lit. The hotel has on-site restaurant but we found the menu options a bit limited. A shop in hotel lobby offers beverages and snacks. A few restaurants are located within short driving distance. Hotel has indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. Pool towels and available. From the pool deck you can walk right to the beach. They have a spa and bike rental shop but we didn't get a chance to try them out. The only negative I found was laundry room. We needed to wash and dry the swimwear the night before checkout. They only had two driers in the entire hotel and both were broken. Overall it was a good experience. Would recommend it to others.
