Altmühltal Fishing Vacations

First thing…you get what you pay for. This is definitely a 3 star hotel. The amenities highlighted in the as for the hotel says it has onsite parking. While true they do, but apparently it’s a first come first serve basis. Therefore, we did not get onsite parking. We tried to ask the receptionist where to park. She was not helpful in this area. The graves she gave me were a 15-25 minute walk from the property. The Ming bed is 2 twins put together. Cleanliness and upkeep for the hotel are a 3 star quality. The breakfast was decent. If I were asked if I recommended this hotel, I’d say if you want a mediocre hotel then this is your spot. Other than that no.

The staff were friendly and accommodating with plenty of smiles. Unfortunately there was building work going on the work noise wasn’t good and it left my car dirty with saw dust etc. however I expect that this work will be completed by next year when we usually stay here.

This hotel is badly in need of a refresh

Dominic was on duty at the front desk during the majority of my stay. He was a tremendous resource when I had questions about planned activities, how to get around the city and how to best get back to the airport. He's a tremendous customer service representative for your hotel -- friendly, well-spoken, positive attitude.

Room was nice and clean and the shower products were delightful. Paulo was instrumental in resolving the issue with our air conditioning unit. He was able to solve the problem quickly and easily with no disruption to our holiday. We really appreciated him!

I started to notice that my sheets were not being changed toward the end of my trip, and the rooms were not very well ventilated/stuffy

A charming, quaint little hotel right outside of the city center of Munich. Perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy a little bit of quiet and calm at the end of your travel days. Staff was super helpful and paid great attention to detail. One of our favorite dining experiences in Munich was the restaurant right across the street, perfect for a cozy ambient spot with great options for everyone. We loved our walks to the bus stop in the mornings (about 7 minutes) and the total commute time into the city center was about 45 minutes total. I will say to check the bus schedules on the way back - most of the buses close to the hotel stopped running much earlier than we expected, and it was very difficult finding Ubers or taxis in the area since it’s more rural. The hotel staff Mr. Hahn ( we think) was extremely helpful in getting a taxi for us at 4:45 AM to the airport and ensuring we all had to go coffee for the trip even though the kitchen wasn’t open. Thank you and we loved it!
